Summary

Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has asked the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda to invoke Rule 113 (2) of the Parliament Rules of Procedure, to ensure attendance of Ministers at all sittings of the House. This aims at enabling an urgent response to matters raised by Members of Parliament on the floor of the House, as well as taking charge of items on the Order Paper that fall under Ministers’ respective dockets. She added that the absence of Ministers had limited effective discharge of Parliamentary duties and also affected the House in the eyes of the public.
