Summary

In the plenary sittings held on Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 November 2023, Parliament passed the Petroleum Supply (Amendment), Bill 2023 that will give the Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) exclusivity to import and supply all petroleum products destined for the Ugandan Market. The House also passed the Explosives Bill, 2023 that will impose a fine of shs10 billion on any individual who possesses, deals in, uses or sells explosives without a license. The Speaker directed the Minister for Gender, Labour and Social Development, Hon.
