In the plenary sessions held on Thursday 22 and Friday 24 December 2022, Parliament paid tribute to former Serere County Member of Parliament, Hon. Patrick Okabe, who passed away in a motor accident alongside his wife, Christine Okabe on Monday, 19 December 2022. Parliament also received a motion for a resolution of the House to pass a vote of censure against Hon. Persis Namuganza, the State Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development; moved by Hon.
