The 2019 Commonwealth Youth Inclusion Regional Conference opened on Monday, 04 March 2019 with a call to delegates to focus on discussing ways forward to include their issue on the priority agenda of their respective nations. The event attracted over 200 youth leaders from across Africa, Europe and the UK, who were in Kampala on the auspices of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD). Speaker Rebecca Kadaga launched the two day event held at Parliament of Uganda, and told the delegates that the Ugandan August House had plans to revise the nomination fees for persons intending to run for the offices of Members of Parliament, to support more youth participation.
