Kadaga clarifies on Plenary Sittings during COVID Lock-down

Summary

Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has clarified that plenary sittings will continue because among others, legislators have constitutional obligations that must be accomplished including actualization of Article 152 of the Constitution that deals with imposition of taxation. She also congratulated health workers treating COVID-19 patients, adding that the Parliament bus fleet has been put at the disposal of the Ministry of Health, to transport health workers to and from their respective bases of work.
