Summary

The 2018 Parliament Civil Society Dialogue was held at Parliament on Tuesday 23rd January, 2018. The dialogue attracted senior political members in society including the heads of the Democratic Party and Uganda People’s Congress Party – Nobert Mao and Hon. Jimmy Akena, respectively; as well senior academicians and civil society members. The Speaker of Parliament, Deputy Speaker of Parliament and the Leader of opposition; while addressing the participants at the dialogue, emphasized the need to concentrate on issues of national guidance and importance other than hovering over political debate.
