2018 Parliament Week to bring MPs closer to their constituents

The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has highlighted the second annual Parliament week that will run for a period of five days with activities including public interaction with Members of Parliament to learn more about the institution; Fundraising Walk to raise funds to support the albino community in Uganda; departmental exhibition; civil society debate and Public Parliament. While addressing the media to announce the event, the Speaker was flanked by the Leader of Opposition in Parliament and Kasese district Woman MP Winfred (FDC) as well as Masindi Municipality MP Ernest Kiiza (NRM) who spoke on behalf of Leader of Government business, the Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda. This year’s event will focus on the theme “Parliament, the voice of the people”.
