Summary

In the plenary sittings held on Tuesday 31 January, Wednesday 01 and Thursday 02 February 2023, Parliament passed the National Budget Framework Paper with proposals of a 49.98 trillion shillings budget for Financial Year 2023/2024. The Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa, directed the Committee on Defence and Internal Affairs to investigate the alleged fraudulent operations of the Uganda Police SACCO, Exodus. The House also tasked the Education Committee to review its findings from its report on the exorbitant fees charged by government-aided schools, and report back to the house with a more comprehensive report.
