Summary

In the plenary sittings held on Tuesday 02, Wednesday 03 and Thursday 04 May 2023, Parliament passed the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, 2023 with amendments to five clauses following proposals by President Yoweri Museveni. The Speaker Anita Among tasked government to bring errant Resident District Commissioners to book and report to the House on the action taken. Parliament tasked the Committees of Physical Infrastructure and National Economy to review a proposal by Government to borrow 852 billion shillings to rehabilitate the Kampala-Malaba meter gauge railway.
