Summary

In the plenary session held on Friday 06 January 2023, the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa named a seven member committee to investigate allegations of misconduct against the State Minister for Housing, Hon. Persis Namuganza. Parliament also received a report of the Parliament Committee on Public Accounts Local Government which made recommendations that Accounting Officers at Local Governments should be held liable for cases of financial misreporting and mismanagement.
