MPs want easier National ID acquisition for Ugandans

Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga and MPs, have expressed concern over the processes which Ugandans undergo to acquire National Identification Cards, saying they have inconvenienced many. Kadaga presented to the House sitting on Tuesday, 03 March 2020, two examples of ladies who had applied for National IDs and gotten them four years later. MPs want an investigation into why there are delays in issuing out National IDs as well as where to, the money paid for the ID acquisition, is remitted.
