Members of Parliament have demanded for better living conditions for female suspects as well as inmates in police cells and prisons across the country. MPs cite congestion in police cells as a risk of spread of diseases like Rubella and Coronavirus among others, if this is issue not addressed as quickly as possible. Betty Bamukwatsa called on Government to prioritize the improvement of the housing structure of policemen and policewomen in Uganda.
