Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has directed the Prime Minister to intervene in cabinet undertakings to fulfill Government pledges to address the plight of working conditions of prosecutors in the office of the Director of Public Prosecution. She observed that a letter to her office from the Uganda Association of Prosecutors had expressed disappointment with Government’s failure to honor its undertakings to improve the terms and working conditions of the prosecutors. The Speaker made the directive while addressing MPs in her Communication from the chair, on Tuesday, 25 February 2020.
