Corona Virus Scare: MP ordered out of House Debate

During plenary sitting on Thursday, 12 March 2020, Kilak North County MP Anthony Akol was sent out of Parliament over a statement he made intimating that he had recently been to South Korea, a country affected by the novel corona virus; and had not been screened on arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga directed the MP to vacate the House and impose a 14 week self-quarantine, following a point of order raised by Kasilo County MP Hon. Elijah Okupa on whether Akol was supposed to be in the plenary session.
