#PLENARY #ROUNDUP In the plenary sitting held on Thursday 29 January 2026, House approved the national budget framework paper for financial year 2026/2027 amid calls for consideration of key sectors. The Deputy Speaker, Thomas Tayebwa directed the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs to present statement on the failure of the biometric voter verification kits during January 2026 general elections. The Deputy Speaker also urged the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development to expedite processing of the national budget for financial year 2026/2027.
